My first Case XX Sodbuster Junior in the mid 1960s was the Delrin model and my long time favorite squirrel hunting Skinner. The new Buffalo Horn Scale model Sodbuster Junior is a showpiece to hold, The fit and finish of every part is excellent, the back spring is strong for safe and worry free pocket carry. The SS blade's nail nick for finger nail opening isn't really needed as enough of the blade back is exposed that it is easy to grab with your fingers and open the knife. That is a nice plus for functionality.The knife needed no break-in and was smooth open/closing right out of the box. The Horn Scales do have a faint Buffalo scent that adds to the charm of this model. The natural feel of Buffalo Horn is very different from polished cattle bone, synthetic or wood. That specific feel of horn is a natural for a folding pocket knife that makes it feel more like a classic knife that it is and it will easily be your favorite.
